100’s of Safe Passage kids attend centers in their micro-communities each and every school day, including all summer.  Each school day our local children complete their homework at our centers and are mentored by volunteers , fed a nutritious snack and even partake in classes focusing in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Medicine and the Outdoors. The children served by Safe Passage live in two micro-communities that consist of multifamily apartment and condominium housing. Local gangs have been deep rooted in these communities for over 30 years. Police Officers work daily in both micro-communities identifying criminal influencers and isolating the gang members from the effects they have on the community as a whole.
