We need partners for our literacy, education, science and mentoring programs. Help us make our vision a reality. We will need these determined children for our collective future.
Safe Passage is unique. We bring the power of community to the children, daily, and year-round right where they live in vulnerable micro-communities. We are parents, recreation leaders, police officers, moms and dads, librarians, teachers and high school volunteers. We work 6 days a week, providing services to over 600 youth. Always free of charge.

84% of children who are underserved, can not swim. Safe Passage partners with CRPD & teaches any, and all marginalized children to swim. Each summer we have 125 kids learning to swim every week. Always Free.
Safe Passage is partnered every week with Conejo Community Outreach and since 2020, has delivered over 172,000 diapers to Conejo mothers at Safe Passage Youth Centers. Each week Safe Passage distributes infant needs such as baby formula, baby wipes, diapers and special diet needs. Bilingual Intervention specialists check in daily with each mom. These infants are our future. CONEJO COMMUNITY OUTREACH is saving the lives of families in the Conejo. We owe them gratitude for helping us help the infants. Safe Passage is committed to fostering a future in micro communities of color who generally are underserved.
During each summer, we provide coordination with families to get daily nutrition to over 100 children impacted by lack of nutrition access. Monday to Friday we assist the School District running a satellite nutrition center in micro communities. CVUSD Disperses lunch and breakfast for the children. We make sure the kids show up and on the second weekend of each and every month, Safe Passage continues on with the food aid and with our free community "Fresh Outdoor Market," 140 struggling families shop for 38 -46 pounds of V.C Food Share fresh market items, teen volunteers hand carry all the food back to the families apartments and condos, delivered, so they can prosper. Partnered with CONEJO REC & PARK, TOAKS POLICE, CVUSD and SNAPOLOGY, ART TREK. Safe Passage provides Free daily in-person homework, STEAM school help at our community sites. Safe Passage provides home technology access free of charge to micro community isolated children without family financial means. We continue to provide daily free WiFi hot spots in underserved low income children’s homes and have opened up WiFi networks all free of charge to families most impacted. We provide cell phones to ensure educational access. This summer of 2023 we have kids going to a free STEM day camp at CRPD, 5 hours a day for 8 weeks.
Since 2014, the 2 local gang populations have been decreased by 47% because of Safe Passage.
A 33 year record low. This is so rare in cities and takes daily cooperation between the beat police officers and our team.
These children are up for grabs. Our community can protect them, or gangs can. They spend 6 days a week with positive role models that include retired teachers, street cops, youth counselors. In total 32,021 hours for 2022.
Ask any cop. Have they ever arrested a 15-35 year old gang member that spent any day of the week at a Theatrical Performance, Play, Art Show, Museum or Music Class? The Answer, "NO." We can't simply keep arresting our way out of society's youth social problems. Safe Passage sends all children free of charge each week to plays, art classes, musicals, museums and colleges.
Safe Passage has been chosen by the County of Ventura as one of only 15 community groups in 1200 square miles to operate a Public Health Promotora program. Latina community members specialize in training by Public Health and provide all children with daily health, mental stability and family nutrition education..
Food Share Ventura County is partnered with us, providing FRESH food at our Safe Passage Centers. They are a crucial component to providing the monthly 10,000 lbs of nutritional relief to micro community residents who have food access insecurities. The community feels even safer knowing that Feeding America's Ventura County Food Share is in their neighborhoods partnered with Safe Passage, Adelante, Kiwanis, Art Trek and Conejo Recreation Park District. Over 200,000 pounds of fresh market food delivered in 2022.
Wilbert Ac was raised in Safe Passage. He is a local teen who was just awarded the first ever City Community Commitment Award. Wilbert donates his time every week to kids from all over the Conejo. He feeds them, helps them with school work and volunteers at the Safe Passage Centers.
ART TREK HAS LONG BEEN SERVING MICRO COMMUNITIES WITH STEAM EDUCATION. THEY STAFF SAFE PASSAGE CENTERS AND PROVIDE DAILY HELP. IN ADDITION, ART TREK EACH WEEK, HELPS DISBURSE FARM FRESH FOOD, PRODUCE, VEGETABLES TO SAFE PASSAGE KIDS. ART TREK'S HELP INCLUDES ART CAMP PROJECTS FOR UNDER SERVED MICRO COMMUNITY FAMILIES. ART TREK IS A PRECIOUS RESOURCEs.

$50 AND $100 MICRO GRANTS ARPROVIDED TO LOW INCOME FAMILIES THAT HAVE CHILDREN AND WHERE ONE OR MORE PARENTS ARE UNDEREMPLOYED. THESE GRANTS CAN MEAN THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LIFE & ECONOMIC SURVIVAL. OUR VETTING FOR EACH APPLICANT INCLUDES A PANEL OF COMMUNITY LEADERS. WE ARE IN OUR FOURTH CYCLE DELIVERING TO FAMILIES
DONATE YOUR TIME AS A VOLUNTEER OR PROVIDE DIRECT AID OR DONATE MONEY FOR COVID RELIEF
SAFE PASSAGE UTILIZES VOLUNTEERS FOR PROVIDING COVID RELIEF SERVICES 7 DAYS A WEEK TO THE CHILDREN WHO NEED IT MOST.
EVERY DAY KIDS RECEIVE HOPE, EVERY SUMMER 100+ KIDS GO TO FREE STEM DAY or SWIM CAMP DAYS FOR 8 WEEKS.
SUPPORT SAFE PASSAGE YOUTH. PAY PAL GIVING FUND WAIVES ALL FEES. WE TAKE PRIDE THAT EVERY DOLLAR DONATED IS USED DIRECTLY FOR AID TO THE KIDS. DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR, NOT A CENT IS USED FOR OVERHEAD. WE DO NOT HAVE PAID ADMIN, LEADERS OR ANY OFFICE OVERHEAD.
