Our team of dedicated volunteers make a difference in your community. Each morning, we load 100's of kids on school buses, making sure they are safe and ready for school.

We are stomping out juvenile diabetes with our Safe Passage CRPD daily K-5th fitness program at local elementary schools. Lunchtime sports and active fitness for the youngest of students.

Safe Passage is partnered every week with Conejo Community Outreach and since 2020, has delivered over 231,000 diapers to Conejo mothers at Safe Passage Youth Centers. Each week Safe Passage distributes infant needs such as baby formula, baby wipes, diapers and special diet needs. Bilingual Intervention specialists check in daily with each mom. These infants are our future. CONEJO COMMUNITY OUTREACH is saving the lives of families in the Conejo. We owe them gratitude for helping us help the infants. Safe Passage is committed to fostering a future in micro communities of color who generally are underserved.

Safe Passage continues on with the food aid every week and with our free community "Fresh Outdoor Market," 180 struggling families shop for 65 pounds of fresh market items, (Dairy, Produce, Shelf Items). It gets even better, our teen volunteers hand carry all the food back to the family's apartments and condos, so they can prosper. We have over 100 volunteers that acquire the food from markets and farms, USDA, Art Trek, Adelante, Food Forward, Food Share and produce packing houses. Keeping kids healthy is the pathway to a healthy community.

Safe Passage provides Free daily in-person homework, CAD Classes, STEAM school help at our community sites. Safe Passage provides home technology access free of charge to micro community isolated children without family financial means. We continue to provide daily free WiFi hot spots in underserved low income children’s homes and have opened up WiFi networks all free of charge to families most impacted by poverty.
We provide cell phones to ensure educational access.

When there are school holidays, it is a time for our mini camps where youth spend entire days with our local police and fire sharing a sense of community.
Youth living in poverty, on average are more unemployed as adults than their counterpart teens. Our Youth Corps Crew program provides paid job training and business workplace internships. We emphasize job skills, occupational and skilled career planning with paid stipends for youth community service.

Every Month Safe Passage's Three Licensed Barbers and Hair Stylists donate their time to provide free haircuts to all boys and girls that otherwise could not afford one. Shear Promise provides solutions and joy of self worth and self esteem for youth who would otherwise be left behind. These costs savings allow mother’s who live in poverty to buy groceries and or pay rent and provide a safe environment for their children.

84% of children who are underserved, can not swim. Safe Passage partners with CRPD & teaches any, and all marginalized children to swim. Right now we have 125 kids learning to swim. Always Free. Saving lives is what we do.
Safe Passage partners with Ventura Public Health, Los Robles Healthcare, Clinicas Camino Real Clinic to bring wellness to the most underserved families. Whether it is neighborhood Vaccine clinics, mental health, preventative care or more. Our regular neighborhood medical clinics provide direct access to doctors free of charge.
We are a community of organizations; Conejo Recreation and Park District, Schools, Nonprofits, Colleges, Volunteers, Health Care providers, Businesses and the Police Department focused on helping make pathways for K-8th grade children to walk the halls of educational advancement and in turn avoid being enticed into gangs. Since 2014, the 2 local gang populations have been decreased by 52% because of Safe Passage.
A 35 year record low. This is so rare in cities and takes daily cooperation between the beat police officers and our team.

These children are up for grabs. Our community can protect them, or gangs can. They spend 6 days a week with positive role models that include retired teachers, street cops, youth counselors. In total 26,692 afterschool and homework assignments completed so far in 2025.

Ask any cop. Have they ever arrested a 15-35 year old gang member that spent any day of the week at a Theatrical Performance, Play, Art Show, Museum or Music Class? The Answer, "NO." We can't simply keep arresting our way out of society's youth social problems. Safe Passage sends all children free of charge each week to plays, art classes, musicals, museums and colleges.

Safe Passage has been chosen by the County of Ventura as one of only 15 community groups in 1200 square miles to operate a Public Health Promotora program. Community members specialize in training by Public Health and provide all children with daily health, mental stability, medical and diet education.



Food Share Ventura County is partnered with us, providing FRESH food at our Safe Passage Centers.
Since 2020 we have provided over 500,000 pounds of fresh food to families.
USDA and Food Share are a crucial component to providing the monthly 10,000 lbs of nutritional relief to micro community residents who have food access insecurities.
The community feels even safer knowing that Feeding America's Ventura County Food Share is in their neighborhoods.
We are partnered with the USDA, Adelante, Kiwanis, Art Trek, St Vincent, CVUSD, City of Thousand Oaks, Food Forward and Conejo Recreation Park District.
Safe Passage has delivered 147,000 pounds of fresh market food delivered in 2024

ART TREK HAS LONG BEEN SERVING MICRO COMMUNITIES WITH STEAM EDUCATION. THEY STAFF SAFE PASSAGE CENTERS AND PROVIDE DAILY HELP. IN ADDITION, ART TREK EACH WEEK, HELPS DISBURSE FARM FRESH FOOD, PRODUCE, VEGETABLES TO SAFE PASSAGE KIDS. ART TREK'S HELP INCLUDES ART CAMP PROJECTS FOR UNDER SERVED MICRO COMMUNITY FAMILIES. ART TREK IS A PRECIOUS RESOURCEs.

$50 AND $100 MICRO GRANTS TO LOW INCOME FAMILIES THAT HAVE CHILDREN AND WHERE ONE OR MORE PARENTS ARE UNDEREMPLOYED.
THESE GRANTS FOR FAMILIES CAN MAKE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LIFE & ECONOMIC SURVIVAL.
